Hi there

After Installation either one. Do we need to run complete installer again to remove/add VIS or PROD?

Is there any easy workaround?

Thanks
Amir

What exactly you want to do I mean you are interested to uninstall the eBusiness apps fromt he machine if so then you will have to stop all eBusiness services and manually remove the folders (oracle) and inventory files. thanks

The uninstallation process is manual for Oracle Applications and if you want to uninstall the Applications from the system follow these steps,

1) Login as oracle user and stop all applications services
2) Delete the oracle folder from the system by using the Linux command
$ rm -rf /oracle <give the correct path of oracle folder here>

3) Login as root user and remove following files from the /etc folder,
$ rm /etc/oratab
$ rm /etc/oraInst.loc
$ rm -rf /etc/oraInventory (it is directory)

uninstallation is complete.

Hi

Actually there are 2 different scanarios.

1- I have VIS installed and I wanna add PROD to it.

2- I have VIS & PROD installed, I need some space so I wanna remove only VIS from my machine.

Hope that might have cleared my question.

Thanks

amirtai, have you solve your problem?

have you tried to use OUI (Oracle Universal Installer)?
