Doubt in Oracle Metalink

Hi,
I registered with Oracle Metalink to download the patches. I logged in, and I am being prompted for the "Oracle Support Identifier" value. I haven't received any mail yet for the same (more than 2 hours from registration).
Kindly let me know what is that, and also whether I am following the right steps for downloading the patched. I am bit confused.
And also it would be helpful, if someone repost the steps to download the tutor patches for certification purpose. Thanks in advance.
