Interclass and interaclass UOM conversion

What is main diffrence between inter class and intera class Unit of measure conversion
Please explain with example

Intra class is the conversion for specific item within a unit of measure class.
Item - Unit of Measure Class - Unit of Measure - Conversion
soda pop Quantity case(CS) 1 CS = 24 Each
As you can see the class is same.
Inter class is the conversion for a specific item between unit of measure classes
Item - Dest Base Unit - Class - Conversion - Source Base Unit - Class - Conversion
water Gram Weight 1 milliliter Volume 1 ML = 1 GR
Here destination and source classes are different.

I need some doc like CV40 for UOM conversion and conversion code .
